Call to the peoples of the world: Let us oppose American-Israeli aggression against Iran!
Israel’s aggression against Iran, which began on June 13 with intensive airstrikes and assassinations, continues. Just as the justification for the attack on Iraq was “Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction,” the justification for the attack on Iran is “Iran’s nuclear program.”
The news agencies report that Trump has approved US imperialism’s plan to attack Iran, but has not yet ordered the attack, giving Iran the “opportunity” to “back down” and “surrender.”
The truth is that the United States has not only participated in the Israeli aggression against Iran from the beginning, but has also directed and managed it.
US imperialism has launched its strategic plan to redesign the Middle East with the genocidal attack by Israeli-Zionist forces on Gaza. After taking a step forward in Lebanon, with the support of the Saudis and the Gulf Arab Emirates and the initiative of Turkey and Israel, it has implemented regime change in Syria and targeted Iran, whose influence in the region has been limited by the weakening of its allies.
Israel, considered an undisputed aggressor, is a striking force of US imperialism, whose goal is to unconditionally dominate the Middle East by neutralizing and excluding its rivals, including border and regime changes in certain countries. It is not the case that Israel lacks specific interests and objectives, such as becoming the dominant regional power, and even occasionally forces the United States to achieve them, but it aligns its own interests with its strategic goals, approaches, and plans, and is used by the United States as a striking force. Israel, which also produces weapons but receives unlimited support from the United States in terms of arms, munitions, and space intelligence, cannot conceive of itself or its aggression without the United States, to the point that it was able to begin bombing Iran without any concern, despite having a missile arsenal that lasted a week and ten days.
This is evident in the statements of Trump, who has presented himself as the “commander in chief” of the war. He was the one who urged Iran to “surrender” and who stated that “the problem will be solved if Iran returns to nuclear negotiations and signs the agreement, as promised.”
At this moment, US imperialism and Israeli Zionism are bombarding Iran with bombs and missiles, raining blood and cruelty from the air on the Iranian, Persian, Azerbaijani, and Kurdish peoples. The son of the Shah, overthrown by the Iranian Revolution in 1979, has already declared his willingness to rule Iran according to the interests and directives of US imperialism.
Today, when bombs are killing the Iranian people, this is not the time to make speeches about the “reactionary and popular hostility of the mullahs” or justify the US-Israeli aggression. The mullahs are, without a doubt, reactionary, but the task of the day is to stop the brutal US-Israeli aggression.
We condemn the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. There is no doubt that the Iranian workers and people have the right to defend themselves, and we call on the peoples of the Middle East and the world to fight against imperialism and Zionism. Solidarity with the workers and people of Iran!
